Multi-constellation location tracking using both the GPS and GLONASS satellite systems provides pinpoint accuracy over wide areas, helping, for example, to track down the origin of an emergency alert quickly and effectively. The DP4801e also supports Bluetooth 4.0 for wireless audio connections and indoor beacon tracking, and connects directly to WiFi for over-the-air software upgrades.

The DP4801e is ideal in tough environments such as construction, manufacturing and heavy industry, with a tough outer chassis certified to meet military grade standards for shock and vibration, plus an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, meaning it can survive being fully submerged in water. It also comes fully loaded with safety features including a system override Emergency Button, a Lone Worker monitoring system and Man Down, which uses an accelerometer to detect falls, triggering an alarm automatically.
