The DP4601e encapsulates why Motorola is a market leader for audio quality, network coverage, versatility and depth of features. A display model with a four-line LED screen, menu navigation keys and five programmable buttons, the DP4601e is designed to make access to the very latest advanced digital technologies as simple and as intuitive as possible.

With a redesigned antenna providing 16 per cent better signal coverage, the DP4601e also supports the new IMPRES smart energy system, boosting battery life up to a maximum of 29 hours. It also benefits from crystal clear audio courtesy of the latest IMPRES amplifier, plus intelligent volume control and advanced SINC+ noise cancellation. This means volume and clarity are automatically adjusted to the optimum settings for the background noise – perfect for making and receiving calls around loud machinery or in the midst of big crowds.

With 1000 channels available, the DP4601e is ideal for large scale, busy operations with lots of users on the network and heavy communications traffic. Users can choose whether to broadcast calls across the whole network, use Private Calling to send messages directly to individuals, or specify groups of recipients with Group Calling. The DP4601e also supports SMS messaging and can be integrated into telephone systems, plus there is built-in support for message dispatching and work ticketing.

Further support for large scale deployment across large teams is provided by multiconstellation satellite location tracking. As well as GPS, the DP4601e also supports the alternative GLONASS system, and by calibrating both, can pinpoint a user’s location to high degrees of accuracy – perfect when you need to know where a colleague is on a large site, fast. In addition, the DP4601e also supports Bluetooth 4.0, which can be paired with Bluetooth beacons to enable location tracking in a different form.

Built for durability and reliability, the DP4601e is ideal in tough environments such as construction, manufacturing and heavy industry, with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance meaning it can survive being fully submerged in water. It also provides a number of reassuring safeguards when operating in hazardous conditions, including a system override Emergency Button, a Lone Worker monitoring system and Man Down, which uses an accelerometer to detect falls and trigger alarms automatically.
