A redesigned antenna gives the DP4600e 16 per cent better signal coverage compared to its predecessor, and with the new IMPRES smart energy system deployed, it also offers a maximum 29 hours of battery life.

Embedded Bluetooth 4.0 means that not only can wireless accessories like earpieces and headphones be connected without the need for an adapter, the handsets can also be linked to Bluetooth beacons to support indoor location tracking – ideal for large teams where it is important to be able to pinpoint where colleagues are quickly. Moreover, the DP4600e also supports both GPS and GLONASS satellite location tracking, providing much more accurate geo location services.

With 1000 channels available, the DP4600e is ideal for large scale, busy operations where there is likely to be heavy communications traffic. Users can choose whether to broadcast calls across the whole network, use Private Calling to send messages directly to individuals, or specify groups of recipients with Group Calling. The DP4600e also supports SMS messaging and can be integrated into telephone systems, plus there is built-in support for message dispatching and work ticketing.

Built for durability and reliability, the DP4600e is ideal in tough environments such as construction, manufacturing and heavy industry, with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance meaning it can survive being fully submerged in water. It also provides a number of reassuring safeguards when operating in hazardous conditions, including a system override Emergency Button, a Lone Worker monitoring system and Man Down, which uses an accelerometer to detect falls and trigger alarms automatically.
