More information

Part of the MOTOTRBO range, Motorola’s flagship DP4000 series has been at the cutting edge of digital two way radio technology for a number of years, helping to set the agenda for business communications technology in the 21st Century.

Now Motorola has pushed the boundaries further again with its enhanced E-Series range, making further improvements to the DP4000’s industry leading audio performance, network coverage, versatility and range of features.

Part of this new enhanced range, the non-display DP4401e boasts crystal clear audio courtesy of the latest IMPRES amplifier system, intelligent volume control, SINC+ noise cancellation, acoustic feedback suppression and more. No matter how much background noise there is, the DP4401e ensures every call can be heard loud and clear.

One of the key innovations with the DP4401e is enhanced data connectivity which sees it support multi-constellation location tracking, WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0. None of these features are available on the DP4401e’s sister model, the DP4400e.

Multi-constellation location tracking makes use of both the GPS and GLONASS satellite systems. Using both in tandem ensures higher levels of accuracy in pinpointing location across wide areas. WiFi connectivity means firmware updates can be downloaded and installed automatically, while Bluetooth 4.0 can be used both to pair with beacons for indoor location tracking and for audio connections with wireless accessories.

A redesigned antenna gives the DP4401e 8 per cent better signal coverage compared to its predecessor, the DP4400. With the new IMPRES smart energy system, it also offers a maximum 29 hours battery life.

Certified against tough military-grade standards for resistance to shock, humidity and temperature extremes, the DP4401e is designed for use in tough environments such as construction, manufacturing and heavy industry. It also comes with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, meaning it can survive being fully submerged in water.

The DP4401e provides a number of reassuring safeguards for operatives working in hazardous conditions, including a system override Emergency Button, a Lone Worker monitoring system and Man Down, which uses an accelerometer to detect falls.

The DP4401e offers a great deal of flexibility in communication options, and scalability in how and where it can be deployed. When voice communication is not appropriate or convenient, it can be used to send text messages or work order tickets. Compatible with the MOTOTRBO advanced software range, it can be used to connect hundreds of operatives in giant trunked networks or even to connect multiple sites via broadband so users can communicate from different places.
